Ep 8. Buster and Babs Go Hawaiian

Buster and Babs Go Hawaiian is an episode from the second season of the animated television series, Tiny Toon Adventures. The show follows a group of young cartoon characters who attend Acme Looniversity to become the next generation of Looney Tunes characters.

In this episode, Buster and Babs are chosen for a school assignment to create a tourism video for Hawaii, despite neither of them having been to the state before. Excited for the opportunity, they eagerly head to the airport to catch their flight. Meanwhile, Plucky Duck, jealous that he was not chosen for the assignment, hatches a plan to sabotage their trip by planting a bomb on their plane.

As the plane takes off, Plucky secretly watches from the ground, gleefully waiting for his plan to come to fruition. However, the plane hits turbulence and the bomb falls out of its hiding spot inside the plane and out of the hatch. The bomb lands on Plucky's head, saving the lives of Buster and Babs.

Upon arriving in Hawaii, the two rabbits are disappointed to find the island is nothing like what they imagined. They soon realize they must make do with what they have, and set out to create their tourism video. They bicker over what activities to feature, with Babs wanting to show cultural experiences and Buster wanting to focus on surfing.

As they explore the island, they meet a group of ancient tiki statues that come to life and teach them about Hawaiian history and culture. The statues inspire Buster and Babs to compromise on their video and showcase both the beauty of the island and its cultural significance.

However, as they finish filming their video, Plucky, who has been trailing them, shows up and again attempts to ruin their work by destroying their camera. In the ensuing chaos, Plucky accidentally ends up destroying a hidden volcano on the island, causing it to erupt.

The eruption causes a massive wave that threatens to wipe out the entire island, and all the characters scramble to escape it. Buster and Babs manage to surf the wave to safety, and as they ride the crest they realize that their tourism video captured the essence of Hawaii: fun, adventure, and cultural immersion.

Buster and Babs return to Acme Looniversity and present their video to their class. Despite Plucky's attempts to sabotage them once again, the duo receives high praise for their work and win the assignment. The episode ends with Buster and Babs dancing the hula and discussing plans for their next adventure.
