Why Monkey Swings In the Trees is the fourth episode of the first season of Tinga Tinga Tales. The show follows the adventures of various African animals and tells colorful stories about their origins. In this episode, the viewers learn about how the monkey learned to swing in the trees.

The episode begins with a playful monkey named Kiki, swinging from tree to tree and making all sorts of mischief. She loves to play, but never stops to rest, leaving her always exhausted. One day, she watches a bird swoop down from the sky and land on a branch, and decides she wants to learn to fly too. But no matter how hard she jumps, she just can't seem to get off the ground.

Kiki is sad, and takes a nap in a tree. She has a dream where she's flying through the air, and when she wakes up, she tries once more. But, she still can't get off the ground. Hoping for a solution, Kiki turns to the other animals for help. First, she goes to the tortoise, who suggests she try to crawl on the ground to help build her strength. But, Kiki can't stand the idea of not swinging in the trees and playing.

Then, she goes to the chameleon, and asks him for help. The chameleon advises her to climb up trees and perch on the branches to build her balance and coordination. But, Kiki finds this too boring and decides to give up.

Finally, Kiki turns to the wise old baboon, who tells her to use her arms and swing from the branches, as it's the best way to move around the trees quickly. Kiki tries swinging, but she's not very good at it. The baboon reminds her that practice makes perfect, and Kiki works hard at it day and night until she becomes an expert.

In the end, Kiki finally sees the benefits of all her hard work and practice, as she is now able to swing from tree to tree with ease, having found her own unique way to move around. The other animals watch in awe as she zips through the trees, and Kiki is happy that she can finally play and not feel exhausted because she found a way that works best for her.

The episode teaches a valuable lesson about perseverance and finding one's own way to excel, rather than trying to follow what others are doing. It encourages children to be creative, think outside the box and not be afraid to seek help from others. The bright colors, cute animals, and catchy music make it a fun and enjoyable watch for kids and adults alike.
