In Tin Star season 1 episode 3, titled "Comfort of Strangers," we pick up where we left off, with the Worth family dealing with the aftermath of their son's death. Jack (played by Tim Roth) is still grieving and blames himself for what happened, but his wife Angela (played by Genevieve O'Reilly) tries to comfort him and tells him that it wasn't his fault.
Meanwhile, Elizabeth (played by Christina Hendricks) and her team are still investigating the murder of the oil worker, and they begin to suspect that Jim Worth might be involved. They track him down and start questioning him, but before they can get any real answers, Jack interrupts and accuses Elizabeth of harassing him.
Later on, Angela tries to take Jack's mind off things by taking him to a local pub, but things quickly turn sour when they bump into Elizabeth and her team. The two groups have a heated exchange, and it becomes clear that there is a lot of bad blood between them.
As the night goes on, Jack starts drinking heavily and becomes increasingly belligerent. He picks a fight with one of the locals, and it quickly turns into a full-blown brawl. Angela tries to intervene, but she is quickly overwhelmed, and Jack is severely beaten.
The next morning, Jack wakes up in a hospital bed, battered and bruised. Angela is by his side, and she tells him that they need to leave town before things get any worse. Jack agrees, and they pack up their things and prepare to hit the road.
But before they can leave, Jack gets a mysterious phone call from a woman who claims to have information about their son's death. She sets up a meeting with Jack and tells him that she knows who is responsible for the murder.
As Jack and Angela race to uncover the truth, they face increasing danger and threats from those who want to keep the truth buried. And as the investigation heats up, they find themselves caught in the middle of a deadly conspiracy that puts their very lives at risk.
"Comfort of Strangers" is a gripping episode that keeps you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. With its tense and dramatic storyline and expertly crafted characters, Tin Star continues to be one of the most compelling and entertaining shows on TV.
