Tin Man is a modern re-imagining of L. Frank Baum's classic novel, The Wizard of Oz. The show premiered in 2007 and was produced by RHI Entertainment. The miniseries is a sci-fi/fantasy adventure that follows a young woman named DG (Zooey Deschanel), who is swept away from her mundane life in Kansas and transported to the mystical land of the O.Z. (Outer Zone).

The show is set in a futuristic world, where technology has advanced to a point where humans can travel to other dimensions. The O.Z. is a strange and dangerous world, ruled by the evil Sorceress Azkadellia (Kathleen Robertson). DG

(the Outer Zone) and she finds herself in the presence of some very strange company, while gaining a chance to find her true mother.
