ThunderCats was a reboot of the classic 1980s animated series of the same name from Cartoon Network. This new version ran from 2011 to 2012 and featured a brand new cast of voice actors, including Emmanuelle Chriqui as Cheetara, Kevin Michael Richardson as Panthro, Robin Atkin Downes as Mumm-Ra, Dee Bradley Baker as Snarf, Clancy Brown as Grune, Pamela Adlon as The WilyKit, Michael McKean as The WilyKat, Matthew Mercer as Tygra, Corey Burton as Jaga, Eamon Pirruccello as Claudus, Madeleine Hall as Young Lion-O, and Will Friedle as Lion-O.

The show followed a group of humanoid cats who flee the planet of Thundera after it is destroyed by their enemies, the Lizardmen. They end up crash landing on a new planet they name Third Earth, where they must fend off the evil Mumm-Ra and his army of mutants while trying to find a way back home.

The ThunderCats are led by their prince, Lion-O, who is the rightful heir to the throne of Thundera. However, due to a mishap with his cryogenic tube, he emerges on Third Earth as a young boy and must learn to be a leader and wield the Sword of Omens, which grants him incredible powers.

Cheetara is the fastest member of the ThunderCats and a fierce warrior. She is stoic and disciplined but also has a soft spot for Lion-O. Panthro is the muscular mechanic of the group and often serves as their pilot. He is tough, no-nonsense, and fiercely loyal to his friends. Snarf is Lion-O's loyal companion and often serves as comic relief with his incessant meowing and nervous behavior.

Grune is a former ThunderCat who turned traitor and joined forces with Mumm-Ra. He is a skilled fighter and a dangerous foe to the ThunderCats. The WilyKit and The WilyKat are two mischievous siblings who often cause trouble but also contribute to the team with their agility and cunning. Tygra is the intellectual member of the group and serves as their architect and strategist. He is also a skilled fighter with the ability to turn invisible.

Jaga is the ThunderCats' wise and powerful mentor who appears to Lion-O in visions and dreams. Claudus is Lion-O's father and the former king of Thundera. He was killed in the destruction of their planet, but his memory still inspires and motivates the ThunderCats.

Throughout the series, the ThunderCats face a variety of challenges and enemies, from mutants and robots to magical artifacts and otherworldly beings. They must also navigate the politics and rivalries of Third Earth, with various factions vying for power and resources.

With stunning animation, thrilling action sequences, and compelling storytelling, ThunderCats was a standout series for Cartoon Network. While it only ran for one season, it left a lasting impression on fans of the franchise and animation in general.

ThunderCats (2011) is a series that ran for 1 seasons (26 episodes) between July 29, 2011 and on Cartoon Network
