In Thunderbirds Are Go season 3 episode 2, titled Ghost Ship, International Rescue is called upon by a stranded cruise liner in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. The vessel, named the Solar Wind, appears to be completely deserted, and there is no sign of the passengers or crew.
Thunderbird 2, piloted by Virgil Tracy, is dispatched to investigate. The ship's captain, Captain Lee Taylor, explains to Virgil that the Solar Wind had been experiencing strange malfunctions before the crew and passengers disappeared, including power outages, strange noises, and unexplained movements of objects.
As Virgil explores the ship, he encounters strange occurrences, including doors opening and closing on their own and unexplained footsteps echoing through the empty corridors. He quickly realizes that there is something sinister at play, and he must race against time to uncover the truth before it's too late.
Meanwhile, back at Tracy Island, John and Kayo are monitoring the situation from space. They discover that the Solar Wind had recently passed through a space-time anomaly, which could explain the strange happenings on board. They work to pinpoint the anomaly's location and determine a way to close it, in the hopes of stopping any further incidents.
Back on the Solar Wind, Virgil discovers that the ship's systems have been hacked by an unknown entity and that the ship's course has been altered toward a dangerous reef. He quickly works to override the changes and steer the ship to safety.
As Virgil works to regain control of the ship, he is confronted by a mysterious figure who seems to have caused all of the strange occurrences on board. Virgil is forced to engage in a dangerous game of cat and mouse as he tries to evade the figure and save the ship.
With the help of Lady Penelope and Parker, who have boarded Thunderbird 2 to lend support, Virgil is ultimately able to uncover the truth behind the strange events on the Solar Wind. The crew and passengers had been taken by a group of aliens who had taken over the ship, hoping to use it as a vessel to leave Earth and return to their home planet.
Using Thunderbird 3, Scott and Gordon are able to intercept the aliens' spacecraft and prevent them from leaving Earth. The Solar Wind's crew and passengers are rescued and returned to safety, and the aliens are taken in for questioning.
Ghost Ship is a thrilling episode that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats. With its tense action sequences, compelling storyline, and stunning animation, Thunderbirds Are Go season 3 episode 2 is a must-watch for fans of the series.
