Ep 8. Slingshot

International Rescue receives a distress signal from a tanker stranded in the middle of the ocean. John and Virgil set out to rescue the crew, but encounter a rogue wave that damages Thunderbird 2 and causes them to crash on an uninhabited island.

Meanwhile, back at Tracy Island, Scott and Alan work on repairing Thunderbird 2's slingshot, a device used to launch the spacecraft into the air. They discover that the slingshot has been sabotaged and must figure out who is responsible before it's too late.

As John and Virgil struggle to survive on the island, they uncover a secret base belonging to the Hood, their arch nemesis. The Hood has been using the base to launch attacks on International Rescue and plans to use Thunderbird 2's slingshot to launch a surprise attack on Tracy Island.

Scott and Alan race against time to repair the slingshot and stop the Hood before he can carry out his plan. With the help of Lady Penelope and Parker, they discover the identity of the saboteur and launch Thunderbird 2 just in time to intercept the Hood's attack.

In a thrilling aerial battle, Thunderbird 2 and the Hood's aircraft engage in a high-speed chase. With the lives of the Tracy family and their allies on the line, the Thunderbirds must use all of their skills and technology to emerge victorious.

The episode concludes with John and Virgil rescued from the island and everyone returning safely to Tracy Island. The saboteur is brought to justice and the Tracy family is left to ponder what other dangers may lie ahead.
