Ep 8. A Camping We Will Go

Jack, Janet and Chrissy are determined to prove that they can rough it in the great outdoors. They decide to go camping for the weekend and ask Mr. Roper if they can borrow his camping equipment. He agrees, but only if they promise to take care of it and return it in good condition.

When they arrive at the campsite, they find that they have forgotten a few important things, like matches and a can opener. They try to make do with what they have, but soon realize that camping isn't as easy as it looks. They struggle to set up their tent, start a fire, and cook their food over an open flame.

Meanwhile, Larry and Mr. Roper decide to do some camping of their own, but they have a much easier time of it. They have all the latest gadgets and gear, including a portable stove and a solar-powered radio. They also have a much nicer campsite, complete with a picnic table and a view of the lake.

As the day wears on, Jack, Janet and Chrissy become more and more frustrated with their lack of progress. They can't start a fire, their food is burnt, and their tent keeps collapsing. They also have to deal with some unwanted visitors, like mosquitoes and a skunk.

Larry and Mr. Roper, on the other hand, are having a grand old time. They are grilling steaks, listening to music, and drinking beer. They even invite a couple of women they meet at the campsite to join them for dinner.

Eventually, Jack, Janet and Chrissy decide to give up on camping and head back to the apartment. They are disappointed that they couldn't make it work, but they are also relieved to be back in civilization. They realize that camping isn't for everyone and that it's okay to admit when something isn't right for you.

Back at the apartment, they decide to have a "camp-in" instead. They pitch their tent in the living room, roast marshmallows over the stove, and tell ghost stories by flashlight. It's not quite the same as camping in the great outdoors, but it's a lot more comfortable and a lot less stressful.

In the end, everyone learns a valuable lesson about the importance of being true to oneself. Jack, Janet and Chrissy realize that they don't have to pretend to be something they're not, and Larry and Mr. Roper learn that it's okay to enjoy the finer things in life. They all come away from the experience with a greater appreciation for each other and a deeper understanding of what it means to be happy.
