Jack, Janet, and Chrissy are back in the fourth season of Three's Company, facing a new challenge in the form of The New Landlord. In episode 3 of the season, the trio discovers that their apartment building has been sold to a new owner, Mr. Roper. However, they are relieved to find out that it is not their former landlord, Mr. Roper, but his brother, who is taking over.
Upon meeting the new landlord, Jack and Chrissy are instantly smitten with his sophistication and charm. However, Janet is more wary and suspects that he is up to something. Her suspicions are soon confirmed when she uncovers a hidden clause in their lease that allows the new landlord to evict them if he chooses to do so.
Jack and Chrissy are adamant that they will not let this happen and come up with a plan to sweet-talk the new landlord into changing his mind. However, things quickly go awry when Jack accidentally gets the new landlord drunk, causing him to pass out. Janet sees this as an opportunity to take advantage of the situation and makes a fake copy of the lease that excludes the eviction clause.
The trio is relieved that their plan seems to have worked, but their happiness is short-lived when they discover that the new landlord has unexpectedly passed away. They are left wondering what will become of their living situation and if they will be able to stay in their beloved apartment.
The New Landlord is a classic episode of Three's Company that showcases the comedic talents of its lead actors. The chemistry between Jack, Janet, and Chrissy is as strong as ever, and their witty banter and misadventures never fail to entertain. This episode is a must-see for fans of the show and anyone looking for a good laugh.
