Jack, Janet, and Chrissy are excited about their upcoming beach vacation, but their plans are interrupted when Jack's brother, Lee, unexpectedly shows up at their apartment. Lee, who is a heavyset guy, is trying to lose weight for a job interview. Jack agrees to help Lee out by training him and introducing him to his nutritionist friend.
Things go smoothly at first, but then Lee starts to feel discouraged and wants to quit. Jack and his roommates try to convince him to stick with it, but their methods only seem to make things worse. Meanwhile, Larry, the downstairs neighbor, has lost his pet iguana and enlists the trio's help in tracking it down.
As they search for the missing iguana, Jack comes up with a plan to motivate Lee. He arranges for Lee to meet a beautiful woman at the beach, hoping that the potential romantic connection will inspire Lee to keep up with his fitness goals. But things don't go according to plan, and Jack is left scrambling to salvage the situation before it's too late.
In the end, the gang manages to find Larry's iguana and Lee gains a newfound sense of confidence and determination, thanks to his siblings' support. They all head to the beach, ready to enjoy their vacation, but not before Jack experiences one last mishap that threatens to ruin their plans.
