Jack, Janet, and Chrissy are back in Three's Company season 2 episode 16, titled The Rivals. The episode follows the trio as they find themselves in a sticky situation involving a love triangle.
When a new girl named Vicky (played by the lovely and talented Anne Schedeen) moves into the apartment complex, Jack is immediately smitten. He is determined to make a move on her, but when Vicky reveals that she is already involved with a man named Stuart, Jack is forced to back off.
Janet and Chrissy, however, see an opportunity for a little matchmaking. They decide to set Jack up with Stuart's ex-girlfriend, Linda, in an effort to make Vicky jealous and hopefully cause her to break up with Stuart.
But things don't go according to plan. Linda turns out to be a bit of a handful, and she quickly becomes possessive of Jack. Meanwhile, Vicky becomes increasingly distant and withdrawn, leading the gang to suspect that something is amiss in her relationship with Stuart.
As the three friends attempt to navigate their way through the complex web of romantic entanglements, they find themselves facing off against Stuart and Linda in a battle of wits and wills.
Throughout the episode, there are a number of hilarious misunderstandings and mishaps, as well as some surprisingly heartfelt moments. Viewers will be drawn in by the witty banter and playful chemistry between the three main characters, as well as the strong performances from the supporting actors.
The Rivals is a prime example of the classic 1970s sitcom at its best. Fans of the show will love this episode, which perfectly embodies the lighthearted humor and quirky charm that made Three's Company such a beloved part of television history.
