Ep 2. All Gummed Up

In the fifth season's second episode of Three Stooges Collection, titled "All Gummed Up," the mischief-makers find themselves accidentally stuck in a sticky situation after they inadvertently purchase a phony glue factory under the guise of a birthday present for their sister. When they arrive to take ownership of the factory, they realize they have been swindled. Another group is also looking to collect the assets of the glue factory – a mob of gangsters. The Stooges try to get out of the way, but one of them coats himself in the glue and becomes the gangsters' unwanted hitman. The trio must find a way to escape the predicament and make amends for their sister's ruined birthday gift.

The episode begins with the Stooges deciding what to purchase for their sister's birthday. After some consideration, they decide that a glue factory would be a perfect gift. When they arrive at the factory, they are surprised to find that the business is in a state of disrepair, the workers are not operating, and the place is coated with an inordinate amount of glue. The Stooges are greeted by a group of gangsters who were supposed to purchase the factory but ended up losing funds and a lot of glue in the process.

One of the Stooges, Moe, accidentally spills the container of glue, and before they know it, the Stooges and the factory are all stuck together. In their haste to find a way to become unstuck, the trio seeks the expertise of a dodgy lawyer, who recommends they prove their ownership of the factory before he'll help them. They decide to fix the glue machinery to produce usable glue.

As the ne'er-do-wells work to fix the factory, they manage to gum themselves up even more. The gangster factions try to get the Stooges on their side but it all falls apart. They reveal that the head of one gang is an undercover agent for the cops and that all will be forgiven if they would hand over the factory to the gangsters. The Stooges are conflicted on how to proceed, though secretly they know that they want out of the business and the sticky glue.

Comedy ensues as the gangsters whittle down the Stooges, who accidentally glue themselves to each other. The situation worsens as one of them becomes stuck to one of the gangsters involved in the melee. The result, however, leads to a happy ending, but not before the Stooges are coated with an ample amount of glue and entangled with their enemies. In the end, the glue factory is properly restored, and the trio hand over the factory to its rightful legal owners.

"All Gummed Up" is a classic episode that showcases the famous slapstick routines of the Three Stooges. The plot stretches and weaves in ways that might surprise even long-time fans, and the comedy is razor-sharp throughout. Fans of the comedy and humor that made the Three Stooges famous will not be disappointed with this episode.
