Sooey is herself a skilled Matador, and she offers to teach the Stooges the art of bullfighting. The Stooges are smitten with her beauty and do not realize that she seeks revenge as she blames the Stooges for her father's death years before. Sooey intends to get the Stooges killed in the ring.
Throughout the episode, the Stooges' clumsy antics keep the audience in stitches. They manage to anger Sooey and are left to fend for themselves during the bullfight. What ensues is a hilarious mixture of the Stooges' antics mingling with the sort of danger that is very real. In short, their ineptitude and stupidity make the scene both dramatic and humorous at the same time.
Eventually, Sooey intervenes, saving the Stooges from disaster in the ring. The trio discovers Sooey's motives for teaching them the craft of bullfighting and subsequently decides to befriend her. The episode ends with the three Stooges and Sooey joining forces to take on a bull that's on the loose, and the result is a hilarious and entertaining finale.
Overall, "What's The Matador?" showcases the Stooges at their best- their farcical and clumsy behavior is on full display, and the humor is at an all-time high. The storyline itself is simple yet enhances the comedy, and the addition of Sooey elevates the episode to a whole new level of hilarity.
