In Three Stooges Collection season 1 episode 9, titled "Pardon My Scotch," the trio of Larry, Moe, and Curly find themselves working at the Herringbone Mansion as handymen. The mansion is known for its valuable collection of rare scotch, which the Stooges are tasked with guarding. However, their bumbling antics lead to chaos and a series of mishaps which result in the scotch being accidentally consumed.
One of the Stooges' first tasks is to move an old grandfather clock, which they do successfully. However, they inadvertently swallow several of the clock's gears, leading to peculiar sounds following them wherever they go. Next, they are tasked with painting the railing leading to the scotch cellar. While Curly and Moe work on the painting, Larry gets curious and accidentally opens the scotch cellar door, leading to several bottles being knocked over and destroyed.
The Stooges then move on to testing the pH level of the scotch, which they do by dipping their fingers in the liquid. Unbeknownst to them, one of the bottles is filled with a highly flammable and explosive substance, which soon leads to the trio being chased around the mansion by a fire-breathing dragon.
As the chaos continues to escalate, the Stooges are tasked with serving drinks to a group of high-society guests. However, in typical Stooges' fashion, they accidentally serve the guests a batch of bootleg alcohol instead of the valuable scotch. The guests soon become intoxicated and begin dancing wildly, causing even more chaos in the mansion.
As the episode reaches its climax, the Stooges are cornered by the mansion's owner and his butler, who demand an explanation for all the chaos they have caused. The trio tries to explain themselves, but end up causing even more destruction as they try to fix the mess they created.
"Pardon My Scotch" is a classic Three Stooges episode filled with outrageous hijinks and slapstick comedy. The trio's quirky personalities and ineptitude never fail to entertain, making this episode a must-watch for fans of the series.
