Ep 3. Chapter 03: Corridor

In 3 Percent season 1 episode 3, titled Chapter 03: Corridor, viewers are once again transported to the dystopian future Brazil where the society is divided into two major groups - the rich, powerful "Inland" and the impoverished "Offshore". Offshore is considered a paradise that can only be earned by passing a series of rigorous tests called the "Process".

The third episode of the show opens with a flashback that shows childhood memories of some of the main characters. In this sequence, we see siblings Michele and Andre as well as Fernando, a child with a poor background. The scene ends with the familiar warning given to young children living in the slums, "Stay here, or the police will find you."

The rest of the episode follows the remaining contenders of the Process - an intense competition designed to identify the worthiest candidates who are awarded a place in Offshore society. Already reduced in number from 400 to 38, the remaining candidates are eager to advance in the competition and prove their worthiness.

As the candidates progress through various assessment rounds, it becomes apparent that there are some who may not belong there. Julia, a member of the review committee, investigates the background of one of the competitors after suspecting he may have cheated. The suspect is revealed to have attempted to bribe his way into the Process and is eventually disqualified.

Meanwhile, the remaining candidates move on to the next assessment round. They are led to a long, sinister corridor with multiple doors. They are instructed to walk down the corridor and open one of the doors. The room behind each door presents a challenging test - some are physical, some require intelligence while others test the candidates' moral values.

As the candidates make their way through the tests, tensions rise as tempers flare amongst some of the competitors. In the end, only a few are deemed worthy enough to progress to the next round of the Process and a couple of unexpected eliminations take place.

As the episode draws to a close, we see some of the surviving candidates bonding and forging alliances, while others plot against each other. The stage is now set for the remaining contenders as they inch closer to the ultimate goal - a better life in Offshore.

Chapter 03: Corridor continues to explore the harsh realities of a society divided by wealth and poverty. It provides an introspective look into the human condition, highlighting the resilience and tenacity of the less privileged who continue to fight for a better future. The thrilling competition and unexpected twists and turns keep the audience eagerly glued to the screen, as they eagerly anticipate the outcomes of each assessment round of the Process. Without a doubt, this episode presents a riveting moment in the 3 Percent series.
