In the episode "Emily Saves the World / Samson at Your Service," Thomas and his friends on the island of Sodor have their hands full with excitement and adventure.
In the first half of the episode, "Emily Saves the World," Thomas and Emily are given a very important task from Sir Topham Hatt: to transport the solar panels that will power the Sodor Airport's runway lights. In the second half of the episode, "Samson at Your Service," the new engine Samson arrives on Sodor, eager to help out and make a good impression. However, Samson has a bit of a problem with over-eagerness, and ends up causing more trouble than he intended.
Luckily, Thomas and the other engines are there to lend a hand and teach Samson the importance of listening and following directions. By the end of the episode, Samson has learned his lesson and become a valuable member of the team, helping out in any way he can.
