Escape / Oliver Owns Up is an episode from season 3 of Thomas & Friends Classic. In this episode, the steam engines on the island of Sodor are in a state of confusion and disarray due to the arrival of a new engine named Oliver. Oliver is a Great Western engine who has been rescued from being scrapped and has come to the island to start a new life.

They are suspicious of his motives and wonder whether he will fit in with the rest of the engines on Sodor. Feeling sorry for Toad, Oliver promises to help him escape from the yard and embark on an adventure together. The two of them devise a plan to escape while the other engines are asleep, and manage to make their way out of the yard undetected. However, their journey is not without its challenges, as they encounter a variety of obstacles along the way.
In the second half of the episode, titled Oliver Owns Up, Oliver learns a valuable lesson about the importance of being honest and owning up to his mistakes. While on his way back to the yard, Oliver becomes derailed and causes a delay on the line. Rather than admitting his mistake, he decides to cover it up and blame it on Toad instead.
When the other engines hear about the incident, they become angry and demand to know who was responsible. However, Toad steps forward and confesses that he was not to blame, and that it was in fact Oliver who caused the delay. Realizing the error of his ways, Oliver apologizes to Toad and vows to always tell the truth in the future.
