This Is Not Happening is a comedy series that showcases some of the wildest, most insane and ridiculous stories recounted by some of the top comedians in the business. Season 1 episode 4, titled Romance, is no different as it presents an eclectic mix of romantic pursuits gone wrong and unexpected consequences that follow.

The episode kicks off with a hilarious account by comedian Moshe Kasher who delves into his earlier days as a self-proclaimed "horny Jew" and the many disastrous dating experiences he had. He humorously describes his first make-out session with a girl and the major case of bad breath he had to endure. He also jokes about his awkward interactions with a few blind dates and the time he broke his alcohol-fuelled promises to make out with "whatever girl is left" at a party.

Next up is comedian Tom Segura who talks about the time he made a series of terrible life choices while under the influence of drugs. His story revolves around an instance where he decides to call up a girl he was crushing on, despite the fact that he was allegedly dating someone else. Segura's recounting of the events that ensue had the audience in stitches. His absurdly honest and self-deprecating manner of narrating the story makes it all the more relatable and enjoyable.

Following Tom Segura is Ari Shaffir, who shares an unusual tale about his experience with psychedelics while on a beach trip in Mexico with his then-girlfriend. Shaffir humorously talks about the difficulties of having a romantic getaway with someone who is constantly tripping out and asking absurd questions. The story is hilarious and awkward, as he shares the wild experience of getting lost and making frantic attempts to find his way back to the beach resort.

After Ari Shaffir is Christina Pazsitzky who shares a story about how a man she was seeing ruined her plan to get pregnant. She shares the story of her first time meeting the man in question and how they quickly began discussing child-rearing. The comedian explains how she had come up with a solid plan to get pregnant with him before the relationship ended quite unexpectedly. Pazsitzky's tale was both hilarious and poignant with its take on modern dating and the lengths people go to find love.

Finally, the episode ends on an entertaining note, featuring Moshe Kasher again, as he delights the audience with another humorous tale of his exploits. This time, he narrates a story about his experience as a participant in a 24-hour erotic marathon in a hotel room with a group of strangers. Kasher's hilarious retelling of the events leading up to and during the marathon had the audience in splits.

Overall, this episode of This Is Not Happening is an unmissable treat for comedy fans. The comedians featured throughout the episode are all top-notch, and their stories are not only funny but also insightful. Romance may not be an entirely novel topic for comedy, but the comedians' fun and relatable stories are thoroughly enjoyable. Whether recounting past dating horrors or absurd lovers' escapades, the comedians' comedic timing, and sense of humor make this series an entertaining experience.
