In Third Watch season 4 episode 18, titled "Last Call," we follow the various members of the NYPD, FDNY, and EMS as they work to keep the streets of New York City safe amid a series of crises. The episode begins with Sully and Ty responding to a call about a burglary in progress, with Sully taking charge of bringing the perp in while Ty is sidelined by his recent heart attack.
Meanwhile, Davis and Yokas respond to a call about a young boy who has accidentally shot his sister with their father's gun. As the two partners work to keep the girl alive and locate the father, tensions rise between them over a conflict from earlier in the season.
Elsewhere, Bosco and Faith are called to a disturbance at a bar, where a group of rowdy firefighters are causing trouble. Bosco, who is still grieving over his father's death, lets his emotions get the best of him and ends up getting into a physical altercation with one of the firefighters.
As the episode progresses, each member of the Third Watch team is pushed to their limit, both by the city's endless emergencies and by their own personal struggles. Ultimately, the episode ends on a poignant note, underscoring the profound sacrifices that these everyday heroes make on a daily basis in order to keep New York City running smoothly.
