Wright observes that the farmer cares deeply for his animals, so he perseveres in conveying his message until at last, the farmer agrees to make some changes.

The last case in Episode 4 features Norton on an emergency call to the nearby town to attend to an unusual rescue. A stray cat has managed to get stuck between two walls, and the town's fire brigade has been called in to provide assistance. Norton must arrive at the scene and quickly assess the cat's condition before taking any action to rescue him. With the help of the fire brigade, Norton devises a plan to get the cat free, which will challenge his and the team's physical abilities.

As is typical of The Yorkshire Vet, the animals come first in every story, and the show gives viewers a unique insight into the everyday issues and challenges faced by farmers, pet and livestock owners, and the veterinary surgeons who care for them.
