In The Yorkshire Vet season 7 episode 2, the popular veterinary series continues to follow the daily lives of animal doctors Peter Wright and Julian Norton as they tend to the needs of their furry, feathered, and scaly patients throughout the rural villages and countryside of Yorkshire.

The episode begins with Peter visiting one of his long-time clients, a farmer named John. John is worried about his prized cow, who has been struggling with a respiratory infection for some time now. Peter examines the cow and decides to administer a special intravenous antibiotic treatment that he hopes will help her recover. He also suggests that John separate her from the rest of the herd to prevent any further spread of the illness.

Julian is called to tend to an unusual patient- a Nile crocodile named Burt. Burt is suffering from inflamed gums, which could potentially lead to a dangerous infection if left untreated. Julian has to tread carefully, as the large reptile could easily overpower him if he isn't careful. After a thorough examination, Julian decides to extract one of Burt's teeth to alleviate the inflammation. Though the procedure is risky, he manages to successfully complete it with the help of his experienced team.

Back at the practice, Peter and Julian examine a chocolate Labrador called Rosie, who has been suffering from disturbing seizures. Despite the fact that Rosie has been on medication for the seizures, she still continues to experience them. After a neurological examination, Peter decides to perform surgery on Rosie's brain to remove a suspected brain tumor. The surgery is risky and complex, but the team is hopeful that it will alleviate the seizures and improve Rosie's quality of life.

Another animal in need of attention is a wayward lamb that has been found wandering around alone with no sign of its mother or siblings. Peter and Julian take the lamb in and try to coax it to drink formula milk from a bottle. The lamb is weak and suffering from dehydration, but the vets are determined to nurse it back to health. They watch over the lamb closely to ensure it gets the proper care it needs to survive.

The episode concludes with Peter being called out to help a young farmer named Alex who is experiencing difficulty during lambing season. One of Alex's ewes is having trouble giving birth, and he's worried for both the mother and the lamb's safety. Peter rushes to the farm and performs a complicated procedure to extract the lamb safely from the ewe's womb. In the end, both the mother and lamb are stable and healthy, much to Alex's relief.

Throughout the episode, The Yorkshire Vet provides a fascinating glimpse into the world of veterinary medicine and the daily challenges faced by animal doctors working in rural communities. Viewers get to see first-hand the dedication and care that Peter and Julian bring to their work, as they strive to help their animal patients and their owners alike. With compelling storylines, engaging personalities, and beautiful countryside scenery, The Yorkshire Vet is a must-watch for anyone who loves animals or has an interest in veterinary medicine.
