In the "Prize Fight Fright" episode of The Yogi Bear Show's first season, Yogi decides to become a boxer in order to win enough money to purchase a new hat. He enlists his friend Boo Boo as his manager and sets off to train for his first match.
However, Yogi's opponent turns out to be a much more experienced and intimidating fighter named Brutus. Despite Boo Boo's attempts to convince Yogi to back out of the fight, Yogi insists on going through with it, determined to win the prize money.
As the match begins, Yogi quickly learns that boxing is much harder than he anticipated. He takes multiple blows from Brutus and is soon on the brink of defeat.
In a stroke of luck, Yogi accidentally knocks himself out while attempting to strike Brutus. The referee declares Brutus the winner, and Yogi is left humiliated and defeated.
But Yogi's pride is quickly restored when he discovers that the prize money was actually a box of candy. He happily splurges on the candy, declaring that he has won the real prize all along.
Throughout the episode, viewers are treated to classic Yogi Bear humor and slapstick comedy. Yogi's stubborn determination and Boo Boo's exasperation with his friend's antics are a constant source of amusement.
