Ep 14. Finalists Chosen, Part 2

The X Factor season 2 episode 14 titled "Finalists Chosen, Part 2" follows the conclusion of the judges' house phase where the remaining contestants will be announced who have made it to the live shows. The show is hosted by the charming Khloe Kardashian and sportscaster Mario Lopez.
The episode starts with the remaining contestants anxiously anticipating the judges' decision. Judge Simon Cowell is joined by Demi Lovato, Britney Spears, and LA Reid in this episode. The judges perform their final deliberations on which contestants will be given a chance to perform in the live shows and later make it to the grand finale. The stakes are high as the contestants can prove themselves to be the next pop superstar.
The first category that is announced is the girls' category. The excitable Demi Lovato is the mentor of this category and she has to choose between talented teenagers like Carly Rose Sonenclar, Diamond White, CeCe Frey, and - Jennel Garcia. After much deliberation and emotional pleas from the contestants, Demi finally decision which talented females will make it to the live shows.
Next up is the Boys' category who have distinguished voices and signature styles, making it difficult for judge LA Reid to choose his finalists. The contestants who make it through include David Correy, Jason Brock, Tate Stevens, and Vino Alan.
The over 25s category is next, and Britney Spears is in charge of mentoring them. She has a difficult choice to make between Emblem3, Dope Crisis, Lyric 145, and Sister C. As Britney announces her final decision, some contestants breakdown in tears while others jump in excitement.
The final category is the groups, and Simon Cowell mentors them. The groups consist of four members or more who exude tremendous energy and chemistry as they perform together. The remaining groups are Citizen, Dope Crisis, Emblem3, and LYLAS, and the judges have to eliminate one of the groups from the competition.
The episode ends with the judges announcing the finalists for each category who will be moving on to the live shows and compete to win the prize of $5 million. However, the decisions made by the judges did not come easy, and not every talented contestant could make it, which is painful to watch. The contestants that did not progress the to the next round were heartbroken, yet grateful for the opportunity to perform on such a big stage.
Overall, The X Factor season 2 episode 14 is emotional, nerve-wracking, and filled with intense energy. The episode showcases some of the best talents, making it hard for the judges to choose the finalist, which sets the mood for the breathtaking live shows.
