Eliza, Darwin, and Donnie go on an adventure to find the Great Bangaboo, a mythical creature that is said to bring good luck to those who spot it. Along the way, they meet a bat who helps them navigate through the forest, a group of talking monkeys who provide them with clues to the Great Bangaboo's whereabouts, and a wise old lizard who teaches them the importance of respecting nature.
As they journey deeper into the forest, Eliza and Darwin start to have doubts about whether the Great Bangaboo actually exists. However, Donnie remains convinced that they will find it and refuses to give up. Eventually, they come across a clearing where they see the Great Bangaboo in all its glory. Overwhelmed by the sight, they watch as it disappears back into the forest.
With their quest complete, Eliza, Darwin, and Donnie make their way back to the Thornberry's campsite where they share their incredible adventure with the rest of the family. However, when Eliza realizes that they had accidentally left the gate to their RV open, they soon discover that a troop of baboons had broken in and stolen all their food. Determined to get their belongings back, they set out on another adventure to retrieve them.
This time, they must navigate their way through a dense jungle filled with dangerous creatures, including a pack of hungry hyenas and a menacing snake. Using their survival skills and quick thinking, the Thornberrys are able to outsmart their adversaries and track down the baboons who had taken their food.
In the end, the family learns an important lesson about the delicate balance of nature and the importance of respecting all creatures, even those who are considered pests. As they make their way back to camp, they are grateful for the experience and the chance to see the wild world up close.
