The Widow season 1 episode 7 is an intense episode filled with twists and turns that keep the audience on the edge of their seats. In this episode, the story begins to unravel as Georgia Wells (played by Kate Beckinsale) tries to uncover the truth about her past and her missing husband.
The episode opens with Georgia still in the Democratic Republic of the Congo trying to find any information she can about her husband Will (played by Matthew Le Nevez). She is followed by Adidja (played by Shalom Nyandiko), who is desperate to find her missing son. While they are searching, Adidja is arrested by the local police for smuggling.
Meanwhile, Georgia meets up with her friend Judith (played by Alex Kingston) who helps her to track down Pieter (played by Bart Fouche), the man who may have been involved in her husband's disappearance. Judith and Georgia come up with a plan to lure Pieter to a local bar, where they will try to get information out of him.
As Georgia and Judith are waiting at the bar, they are confronted by a man named Mahmoud (played by Khalid Abdalla), who warns them to stay away from Pieter. He tells them that Pieter is involved in illegal arms dealing and that they should not get mixed up with him. But Georgia is determined to find out the truth and continues with her plan.
When Pieter arrives at the bar, Georgia manages to get him drunk and starts to interrogate him. He denies having any involvement in Will's disappearance, but Georgia doesn't believe him. Just as she is about to get more aggressive in her questioning, Mahmoud and his men burst into the bar and a fight ensues.
Georgia and Judith manage to escape, but they are still no closer to finding the truth. Georgia begins to lose hope and starts to believe that Will may be dead. But a chance encounter with a woman named Beatrix (played by Luiana Bonfim) gives her a glimmer of hope. Beatrix tells Georgia about a woman she knows who has seen Will recently in the Congo.
Georgia decides to follow up on this lead and goes to meet the woman, who tells her that Will is still alive and is being held captive in a nearby village. Georgia sets out on a dangerous mission to rescue Will, but she soon realizes that things are not as they seem.
The episode ends on a cliffhanger as Georgia is captured by a group of armed men and thrown into a holding cell. She is shocked to find that her former friend and ally Emmanuel (played by Jacky Ido) is the one who has betrayed her.
