Ep 6. Episode 6

Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji arrive at Yiling with the hope of finding the Yin Metal piece they need to complete the Wen curse-breaking array. They end up meeting with the young Wen Ning who is now a fierce fierce corpse due to the cruel experiments carried out by the Jin Sect. Wen Ning reveals to them that his brother Wen Qing is the only one who can help them find the Yin Metal.

Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian, disguised as two wandering cultivators, make their way to Qishan Wen's Yiling base. Due to Wei Wuxian's previous actions, the Wen clan has a warrant out for his arrest throughout the cultivation world. They eventually find Wen Qing and plead their case to her, explaining that they have the Young Master Jin Ling with them, and that they need the Yin Metal to save innocent Wen clan members who were cursed by the Jin sect. Though suspicious of their intentions, Wen Qing agrees to help them in exchange for a chance to speak to her now-fierce brother.

The group makes their way to a hidden cave where the Yin Metal is supposedly kept, but they are ambushed by Wen Chao, a high-ranking member of the Wen clan who is seeking Wei Wuxian's capture. Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji find themselves outnumbered and overpowered, but just as things seem dire, Wen Ning arrives to fight on their side. Through Wen Ning's guidance, Wei Wuxian is able to use the power of the Stygian Tiger Amulet to defeat Wen Chao and his men.

With the battle won, Wen Qing is able to obtain the Yin Metal for Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji, but not before Wen Ning, still under the influence of the fierce corpse condition, attacks Wei Wuxian in a moment of confusion. Wei Wuxian is able to calm him down and convince him to fight the curse. The group thanks Wen Qing for her help and sets off on their journey to the final pieces of the curse-breaking array.

Meanwhile, the Jin Sect receives word of the failed Wen ambush, causing them to send in more soldiers to capture Wei Wuxian. A young member of the Jin clan, Jin Zixuan, is tasked with leading the charge and capturing Wei Wuxian. However, his arrogance leads to disastrous consequences. The end of the episode sees Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji facing yet another obstacle as they attempt to retrieve the next piece of the curse-breaking array.
