Ep 3. Ray, Becky, James and Shaine

The Undateables is a popular British reality television series that follows the lives of a diverse group of people living with disabilities or challenging conditions as they navigate the ups and downs of dating and relationships. In season 10 episode 3, viewers are introduced to four new participants: Ray, Becky, James, and Shaine.

First up is Ray, a 41-year-old man from Essex with Tourette's Syndrome. Ray has struggled with social anxiety and involuntary tics since childhood, making it difficult for him to find love. Ray's dream is to meet a woman who can accept him for who he is and make him feel comfortable in his own skin. With the help of the show's matchmakers, Ray prepares to go on a blind date with a girl he's never met before.

Becky is a 19-year-old woman from Birmingham who was born with Crouzon syndrome, a rare genetic disorder that affects the way her skull and facial bones grow. Despite multiple surgeries and a lifetime of bullying, Becky is determined to find a partner who loves her for her personality, not just her appearance. In this episode, Becky meets two potential suitors: a rapper and a fellow disability advocate.

James is a 24-year-old man from Milton Keynes with Asperger's syndrome and ADHD. James is a mechanic who loves cars and fixing things, but he struggles to connect with people on an emotional level. With the encouragement of his mother and sister, James decides to give online dating a try. Will he find someone who shares his interests and can appreciate his quirks?

Finally, there's Shaine, a 31-year-old man from Wigan with a rare genetic condition called X-linked spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia tarda (X-SED). This condition has caused Shaine to grow to just 3'9", making it difficult for him to navigate the world around him. Despite the challenges he faces, Shaine is confident and outgoing, with a great sense of humor. In this episode, Shaine goes on a date with a woman he met online, but will their height difference be a barrier to romance?

As with all episodes of The Undateables, viewers will be touched by the personal journeys of each participant, as well as inspired by their resilience, courage, and determination in the face of adversity. Stay tuned to find out who finds love and who will have to keep searching.
