Ep 7. The Bash Room
- May 13, 2009
As the ninth season of The Ultimate Fighter continues, tensions between the American and British teams continue to rise. In episode 7, entitled "The Bash Room", things come to a head in a big way.
The episode opens with the fighters waking up and going about their morning routines. The Americans are feeling confident after winning the previous fight, while the British are determined to bounce back. The coaches, Dan Henderson and Michael Bisping, give their teams pep talks and strategize for the upcoming fight.
The episode's focus quickly turns to drama, as tensions boil over in the house. The fighters are cooped up together 24/7, with no access to phones or internet, and tempers are starting to flare. One British fighter, Andre Winner, gets fed up with the American team's trash talking and decides to confront them. This leads to a heated exchange, with both sides hurling insults back and forth.
Later, while the fighters are hanging out in the house, James Wilks of the British team discovers that his bed has been urinated on. This sets off a chain of events that eventually leads to a physical altercation between the teams. The coaches step in to break it up, but the tension in the house is palpable.
Despite all the drama, there is still a fight to be fought. The coaches select their fighters for the next bout, and it's American Frank Lester against British fighter David Faulkner. Both men are confident in their abilities and determined to win.
The fight itself is intense, with both men trading blows back and forth. It's clear that neither fighter is going to go down without a fight. As the rounds wear on, fatigue starts to set in for both men. In the end, the judges' decision is a close one, with the outcome uncertain until the very end.
Overall, "The Bash Room" is a tense and dramatic episode that showcases the high stakes and fierce competition that comes with being a part of The Ultimate Fighter. Despite the drama and tension between the teams, the fighters remain focused on their goal of winning the competition and making a name for themselves in the world of MMA.
