In the season 3 episode 29 of The Twilight Zone titled "Four O'Clock," we follow the story of a man named Oliver Crangle who becomes obsessed with punishing all the "evil" people in the world. Crangle is convinced that everyone who does something wrong needs to be punished, regardless of the severity of their deeds. He works tirelessly day and night to compile a list of names of those who he believes need to be punished, and has even written to the president of the United States to ask for his help in carrying out his plan.

As the episode progresses, we see Crangle getting more and more agitated and paranoid about his mission. He becomes convinced that he is the only person who can carry out this task, and that everyone else is either too lazy or too corrupt to help him. It is at this point that he decides to use a strange device that he has invented to freeze time at exactly 4:00 PM.

Crangle uses this "time-freezing" device to enter the homes of all those on his list, arrest them, and take them away to be punished. He relishes in his success, convinced that he is doing good for the world. However, as he begins to use the device more frequently, he starts to realise that he might be wrong in his assumptions about people. He begins to see that some of those on his list may not be truly evil, and that some may even be completely innocent.

As the episode nears its end, we see Crangle's grip on reality begin to slip away completely. He becomes completely obsessed with his quest to punish evil, to the point where he cannot see reason. His friends and family try to reason with him, telling him that he has lost his mind, but he refuses to listen. Eventually, it all comes crashing down when he turns the device on himself, freezing himself in time forever.

"Four O'Clock" is a powerful episode that explores the themes of obsession, paranoia, and the desire for justice. Crangle's descent into madness is a cautionary tale that warns against the dangers of unchecked power and the belief in one's own moral superiority. The episode also speaks to the broader ideas of justice and punishment, and whether it is ever truly possible to truly know who deserves to be punished and who does not.

Overall, "Four O'Clock" is an intense and captivating episode of The Twilight Zone that is well worth watching for fans of the series and newcomers alike. Its themes and message are still relevant today, making it a timeless classic of science fiction television.
