Ep 17. Twenty-Two

In the episode "Twenty-Two" of The Twilight Zone season 2, Liz Powell is a dancer who performs nightly at a New York City nightclub. One night, she has a recurring nightmare where she's walking down a long, empty hallway, eventually reaching an elevator that takes her to the morgue. In the morgue, she sees a drawer labeled "Room 22" and a nurse tells her she'll be staying there soon.

That night, the nightmare comes true as she falls down a flight of stairs and is rushed to the hospital. The doctors confirm that she has a concussion and that she needs rest. Liz is once again given a sedative and drifts off to sleep.

Suddenly, she wakes up in the hallway from her nightmare. She makes her way to the elevator and finds the nurse from her dream waiting for her. The nurse tells her that she's been there before, and Liz insists she hasn't. The nurse then tells her that she was there two weeks ago, and the reason she's there now is because she missed her stop – Room 22.

More confused than ever, Liz returns to her bed. Just then, a screeching sound fills the air, and a gurney is brought into Room 22. Liz hears the nurse and medical staff counting to 22 and recognizing the eerie coincidence, the terror takes over Liz.
