Trumpet player Joey Crown has hit rock bottom. His alcoholism has ruined his career and his relationships. One night, after yet another bender, Joey finds himself on a deserted street corner. Desperate, he decides to end it all and steps in front of a truck. But instead of dying, Joey finds himself in a strange and eerie place. Soon, he realizes that he has stumbled into a sort of purgatory, a place for those between life and death. Joey meets a mysterious old man who encourages him to pick up his trumpet and play. As Joey begins to play, he finds himself transported back to his old life, before everything fell apart. But can he use this chance to start over and make things right or will he continue down the same destructive path? As he navigates his surreal surroundings and confronts his past mistakes, Joey must make a choice that will determine the rest of his afterlife. Will he continue to play his trumpet and find a way to redemption or will he give up and fade away forever? With its haunting atmosphere and thought-provoking themes, A Passage for Trumpet is a must-see episode of The Twilight Zone.
