When the pup's behavior disrupts Spike's peace, he decides to give him a lesson on calm and controlled behavior by using Tom and Jerry as examples.
As Spike's pup tries to emulate Spike's controlled behavior and calmness, he ends up creating a chaotic situation as he fails to understand the concepts of force and control. In an attempt to discover the problem, Spike gives up and decides to ignore his pup's behavior, leading to a hilarious climax where all three of them end up in a pool.
Overall, the episode manages to deliver the classic Tom and Jerry formula of endless chases, fights, and misadventures with a fresh comedic twist. The use of different locations adds flavor to the episode, and the characters' interactions manage to create new comedic moments from the classic formula.
