Ep 1. RODNEY, NELL & ROLLO

Rodney, Nell & Rollo is the first episode of season 8 of The Supervet. This episode follows veterinary surgeon Noel Fitzpatrick and his team as they work to treat three different animals with unique medical conditions.

The first animal we meet is Rodney, a grumpy eight-year-old Basset Hound who suffers from elbow dysplasia. Next, we meet Nell, a two-year-old golden retriever who was born with a tumor in her head. Nell's condition causes her to have impaired vision and difficulty walking. Her owners have come to Noel hoping for an innovative surgery that could save Nell's life. Noel decides that Nell's best chance of survival is to surgically remove the tumor and create a new ear canal for her. The surgery is risky, but the team is determined to do everything they can to give Nell a second chance at life.

Finally, we meet Rollo, a feisty 12-year-old Bengal cat who has lost the use of his back legs. His owners are devastated and are hoping that Noel can help Rollo regain his mobility. After running a series of tests, Noel discovers that Rollo has a severely herniated disc in his lower back. The surgery to fix the herniated disc is risky, and there is a chance that Rollo may not make it through the operation. Will Rollo pull through, or will his owner have to say goodbye to their beloved feline friend?

Throughout the episode, we learn more about the complicated medical issues that these animals face. We also get a glimpse into the hard work and determination that Noel and his team put into finding innovative solutions to treat these animals. The Supervet is a heartwarming and captivating show for animal lovers and vets alike.
