Ep 2. Rex, Amie & Piggy
- November 16, 2016
In season 7 episode 2 of The Supervet, viewers are introduced to Rex, Amie, and Piggy - three animals in need of the expertise and care of renowned veterinarian Professor Noel Fitzpatrick.
First up is Rex, a seven-year-old bichon frise with a mysterious limp. His owners have already spent thousands of pounds on scans and tests, but no one has been able to determine what's causing his pain. As always, the pressure is on for Professor Noel and his team to solve the puzzle and get Rex back on his feet.
Next is Amie, a beautiful but nervous golden retriever who's suffering from a severe nosebleed. The cause of her condition is quickly identified, but treating it proves to be more difficult than anyone anticipated. With time running out, Professor Noel will have to act quickly if he wants to save Amie's life.
Finally, viewers meet Piggy - an overweight pygmy goat who's struggling to walk properly due to her weight. Her owners are at their wits' end trying to help her lose weight, but their efforts have been unsuccessful. With Piggy's health on the line, will Professor Noel be able to come up with a solution that works?
As always, the show offers a glimpse into the cutting-edge medical technology used by Professor Noel and his team, including 3D printing and the use of stem cells. But it's the emotional moments - especially those involving worried pet owners - that really make the show stand out.
Throughout the episode, viewers will root for each of the animals and their families as they navigate the challenging world of veterinary medicine. With high stakes and even higher emotions, season 7 episode 2 of The Supervet is sure to keep viewers on the edge of their seats from start to finish.
