The Spectacular Spider-Man was a popular animated television series that ran from 2008 to 2009 on Disney XD. The show was produced by Greg Weisman and Victor Cook, with a talented cast of voice actors bringing the beloved comic book characters to life. At the heart of the series was the story of Peter Parker, a high school student who leads a double life as the web-slinging superhero Spider-Man. As Peter learns to balance his responsibilities as a student, a friend, and a superhero, he faces a rogues' gallery of classic villains from the Spider-Man comics, including the Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, and Venom.

Dee Bradley Baker plays the role of Dr. Curt Connors, a brilliant scientist who transforms into the monstrous Lizard. Josh Keaton voices Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Benjamin Diskin is Harry Osborn, Vanessa Marshall is Mary Jane Watson, and Peter MacNicol plays the role of the villainous Norman Osborn, the founder of Oscorp and the alter ego of the Green Goblin.

James Arnold Taylor provides the voice of the wisecracking freelance photographer Eddie Brock, who later becomes the supervillain Venom, while Daran Norris portrays the enigmatic J. Jonah Jameson, the editor-in-chief of the Daily Bugle newspaper and one of Spider-Man's most vocal critics.

Cree Summer lends her talents to the role of Glory Grant, a former love interest of Harry Osborn and a friend of Peter's, while Phil LaMarr plays the role of Robbie Robertson, the managing editor of the Daily Bugle and one of Peter's mentors.

Alanna Ubach is Liz Allan, one of Peter's classmates who is torn between her feelings for him and her loyalty to her boyfriend, football player Flash Thompson, who is voiced by Quinton Flynn. Kath Soucie plays the role of Gwen Stacy, a fellow student and Peter's crush, while Grey DeLisle is Felicia Hardy, the daughter of a wealthy businessman who becomes the costumed thief Black Cat.

John DiMaggio brings his trademark growl to the role of Flint Marko, a small-time crook who gains the power to transform into the sand-like Sandman, while Clancy Brown is the menacing voice of the scientifically advanced Doctor Octopus.

Kevin Michael Richardson lends his deep, booming voice to the role of the Rhino, a hulking thug with a powerful and nearly indestructible suit, while Steve Blum voices the crafty and treacherous Chameleon, a master of disguise and deception.

Keith David plays the role of Nick Fury, the gruff and no-nonsense director of S.H.I.E.L.D. who recruits Spider-Man to help stop a dangerous new threat, while Robert Englund is the voice of the calculating and deadly Vulture, a master thief who seeks to steal priceless technology from Oscorp.

Other voice actors include Alan Rachins as Norman Osborn's attorney, Joshua LeBar as Flash Thompson's friend Kenny, Deborah Strang as Aunt May Parker, and Lacey Chabert as Gwen Stacy's friend and fellow classmate Sally Avril.

With its stunning animation, dynamic action sequences, and compelling storylines, The Spectacular Spider-Man quickly gained a devoted following among fans of the Spider-Man comics and animated series. Although the show only ran for two seasons, it remains a beloved and iconic portrayal of the wall-crawling hero.

The Spectacular Spider-Man is a series that ran for 2 seasons (26 episodes) between March 8, 2008 and on Disney XD
