Tony Soprano becomes increasingly paranoid as the FBI continues to ramp up their investigation into his criminal activities. His fears are compounded when his cousin Tony Blundetto is released from prison and begins to make moves in the criminal underworld. Tony B wants to go into business with his cousin, but Tony S knows that this could bring unwanted attention from law enforcement.
Meanwhile, Carmela Soprano is dealing with her own issues. She discovers that her daughter, Meadow, has been keeping a big secret from her, and she struggles to come to terms with the fact that her family's criminal enterprise may have played a role in the damage that's been done to her daughter.
As tensions begin to mount within the Soprano family, Tony B's own family becomes a source of strife. His brother, Billy, is killed in a hit he believes was ordered by Tony S, which puts a strain on their relationship. Additionally, Tony B's attempts to go legit with his own construction business are hindered by the local unions, who demand a hefty bribe in exchange for their cooperation.
Despite the mounting pressures, Tony S and his crew try to keep their focus on the business at hand. They continue to make moves in the construction business, and Tony S tries to keep his own marriage on track. However, as the season progresses, it becomes increasingly clear that their criminal empire may be in jeopardy.
"All Happy Families..." is a tense episode that explores the complex relationships and conflicts within the Soprano family and their associates. As the stakes continue to rise, viewers are left wondering who will come out on top in this complex game of power and greed.
