Ep 8. Mud Wrestling Smurfs/The Sand Witch

The Smurfs is an American animated television series that follows the adventures of a group of small blue creatures called Smurfs who live in a magical forest. Season 9, episode 8 is titled "Mud Wrestling Smurfs/The Sand Witch".

In the first segment of "Mud Wrestling Smurfs", the Smurf Village is holding its annual Smurf wrestling competition. However, this year's event is different as it's a mud wrestling competition. Papa Smurf is the referee and allows the participants to use any move necessary to win. He also says the winner will receive a special prize of his own choosing.

Unlike the previous wrestling competitions, the winner doesn't get to choose his opponent. It's the other way around. This time, the Smurfs get to choose who they want to wrestle. Smurfette decides to take part in the competition. However, she isn't aware that she'll be up against Gargamel disguised as a wrestler.

During the wrestling match, Smurfette gets severely beaten and is about to lose the match when the other Smurfs come to her rescue. They help her win the competition. Smurfette chooses a medal as her prize, which Papa Smurf had concealed under his hat.

In the second segment, "The Sand Witch", Gargamel and Azrael come across a mysterious oasis in the desert. They soon discover that the oasis is guarded by a Sand Witch, who won't allow anyone to take water from it. Gargamel decides to capture the witch and force her to give him the water which he intends to use for his evil plans.

Meanwhile, the Smurfs are returning from a trip when they come across the oasis. They are unaware of the witch guarding the water and take a swim. The Sand Witch soon appears and captures the Smurfs. She tells them that their punishment for taking water without her permission is to become her slaves forever.

Gargamel, who has been watching the events from a distance, sees an opportunity to capture the Smurfs and the Sand Witch together. He tries to catch them all and put them in his bag. However, the Smurfs are able to escape, and they devise a plan to defeat the Sand Witch and stop Gargamel.

Together, they are able to defeat the Sand Witch by disguising themselves as her and confusing Gargamel. The Sand Witch thanks them for their help and becomes their ally. She provides them with enough water to take back to the Smurf Village.

The episode ends with the Smurfs returning to the village with their water supply and the Sand Witch as their guest. The Smurfs enjoy a happy meal together with the Sand Witch and celebrate their victory over Gargamel.
