Ep 8. All That Glitters Isn't Smurf / Romeo and Smurfette

In the eighth episode of season 1 of The Smurfs titled "All That Glitters Isn't Smurf/Romeo and Smurfette," we see the Smurfs embarking on two separate adventures. In the first half of the episode, greedy Gargamel finds a magic egg that he believes will hatch into a golden bird that will lay golden eggs for him. In the second part of the episode, we see Smurfette receiving a letter from a secret admirer. She is thrilled to think that someone cares for her and begins to speculate about who the letter could be from. As she pondered over the identity of her secret admirer, she starts finding gifts and notes all around the village. This leads her to conclude that it must be one of the Smurfs who has a secret crush on her. She ultimately discovers that the admirer is Grouchy Smurf. Upon realizing that Grouchy likes her only as a friend, she feels sad and disappointed.

The other Smurfs try to cheer her up by throwing a party for her. During the party, they come up with various ways to make Smurfette happy, including offering her compliments and giving her gifts. Smurfette eventually realizes that she doesn't need a secret admirer to feel valued and loved. She is grateful for the support and attention that the other Smurfs have given her, and she realizes that they truly care about her.
