Bart finds out that a new Radioactive Man film is being shot in Springfield and he is desperate to be cast as the lead, despite being told he is too small for the role. Meanwhile, Homer becomes obsessed with a new burger at Krusty Burger and decides to take on the challenge of eating 64 burgers in one sitting.
As the Radioactive Man production team arrives in Springfield, Bart and Milhouse sneak onto the set to try and get a glimpse of the iconic superhero. Along the way, they meet up with a struggling actor named Rainer Wolfcastle, who is eventually cast as Radioactive Man. Disappointed, Bart decides to make the best of the situation and becomes Wolfcastle's personal assistant, determined to make the film the best it could possibly be.
As filming begins, Bart quickly realizes that life in Hollywood is not quite what he expected. He is constantly berated by the demanding director, and must endure long hours and grueling stunts. Despite these challenges, Bart remains determined to do everything he can to help the production.
Meanwhile, Homer's obsession with the "Sirloin & Sour" burger at Krusty Burger has reached new heights. He enters a competition to eat 64 Krusty Burgers in one sitting, a feat which he is confident he can accomplish. However, as he begins to eat, he realizes that the challenge is much harder than he thought. His stomach quickly becomes bloated and he feels ill, but he refuses to give up. In the end, he comes up just short of his goal, but is still satisfied with his performance.
As the Radioactive Man film nears completion, Bart realizes that he has become good friends with Wolfcastle and has learned a lot about the film industry. He is proud of his contribution to the movie and looks forward to seeing it on the big screen. However, when the film is finally unveiled, Bart is disappointed to realize that his scenes have been cut from the final version. Despite this setback, Bart remains determined to pursue his dream of making it in Hollywood.
Overall, "Radioactive Man" is a hilarious and entertaining episode that explores the world of showbiz through the eyes of a young boy. With its witty writing and clever humor, it is a must-see for fans of The Simpsons.
