In The Simpsons Season 5 Episode 4, titled "Rosebud," Mr. Burns becomes nostalgic for his childhood after seeing a teddy bear in the hands of Maggie Simpson. He becomes fixated on finding his own cherished childhood toy, a teddy bear named "Bobo," which he lost as a child.
To aid him in his search, Mr. Burns hires a team of private investigators who ultimately track down Bobo in the possession of none other than Maggie Simpson. Mr. Burns offers a large sum of money in exchange for the bear, but the Simpson family refuses to sell it.
In an attempt to retrieve the bear, Mr. Burns invites the Simpsons family over for dinner, hoping to create a bond with Maggie and convince her to give him the bear. However, during the dinner, the Simpson family sees how Mr. Burns lives alone and devoid of any true human connection. This prompts Homer to steal the bear and return it to Mr. Burns in exchange for a lifetime supply of donuts.
As it turns out, Bobo was not just any old teddy bear, but a rare collectible from the 1940s that was highly sought after by collectors. Mr. Burns proudly displays the bear in his office, but ultimately abandons it again after remembering how it was taken away from him as a child.
In the end, the bear is returned to Maggie and all is well in the Simpson household once again.
