In The Simpsons season 4 episode 13, Selma's Choice, Selma Bouvier, Marge's sister, takes Bart and Lisa to Duff Gardens, a theme park based on the popular beer brand. While there, Selma reflects on her life choices and her desire to have a child. Back at home, she decides to adopt a baby from China.
Meanwhile, Homer decides to spend his day at the park indulging in all the different beers Duff Gardens has to offer. As he becomes increasingly intoxicated, he loses track of time and forgets to pick up Bart and Lisa from the park. Marge becomes worried and goes to search for them, leading to a chaotic and hilarious adventure.
Throughout the episode, Selma struggles with the reality of being a single parent and the challenges that come with adoption. She is met with criticism and judgment from her family and friends, but ultimately decides that her desire for a child outweighs any obstacles she may face.
The episode touches on themes of family, parenthood, and responsibility, all while maintaining the classic humor and wit that The Simpsons is known for. Selma's Choice is a standout episode in the show's fourth season and remains a fan favorite to this day.
