Ep 1. Kamp Krusty

In The Simpsons season 4 episode 1, entitled "Kamp Krusty," Bart and Lisa are ecstatic to find out that they'll be spending their summer vacation at Kamp Krusty- a summer camp advertised as being the coolest place to be. The camp, as it turns out, isn't nearly as top-notch as they had envisioned and very quickly turns into a horror show for the campers.

Kamp Krusty is an old, rundown campsite with broken equipment and the gruffest, laziest counselors- Jimbo, Dolph, and Kearney. When the kids arrive, they are immediately put to work scrubbing the floors and are repeatedly reminded that they're there to work, not to have fun. Meanwhile, Homer and Marge are having the time of their lives living like newlyweds; leaping around the house naked and enjoying some quality "alone time."

The poor conditions at the camp reach an all-time low when the Krusty the Clown mascot, who was supposed to spend the summer with the campers, remains missing, leaving the kids feeling neglected and miserable. The group of campers decide it's time to fight back against the counselors and take the camp for themselves.

Ultimately, Bart devises a plan to trick the counselors into believing that a group of criminals has taken over the camp, and they flee in fear, leaving the campers to enjoy the rest of their summer in the luxury they had been promised. Kamp Krusty concludes with a heartfelt farewell to their summer experience with a fantastic closing-up ceremony.

The episode is packed with the usual tongue-in-cheek humor and wit that has made The Simpsons famous. It is an enjoyable episode to watch as it provides a score of laughs and sets a scene for some family time with your loved ones.
