The Simpsons Season 30 Episode 4 is titled "Treehouse of Horror XXIX," and it's the annual Halloween special episode for the show. This episode features three spooky and funny stories that explore different horror tropes and references.
The first story is called "Intrusion of the Pod-Y Switchers." It's a parody of Invasion of the Body Snatchers and features the Simpsons family waking up to find that their loved ones and neighbors have been replaced by alien pod people who look just like them. Bart and Lisa must find a way to save their family and stop the pod people before it's too late.
The second story is "Multiplisa-ty," a reference to the classic sci-fi film The Fly. In this story, Professor Frink invents a machine that can duplicate people, and Lisa volunteers to be the first to try it out. However, things quickly go wrong, and Lisa ends up getting duplicated multiple times, each with a different personality trait. Chaos ensues as the multiple Lisa's clash with each other and the rest of the family.
The final story is called "Geriatric Park," a parody of the Jurassic Park franchise. In this story, Marge convinces Homer to take their elderly relatives to a theme park designed just for seniors. However, the park's robots malfunction, and the seniors are left to fend for themselves against the robotic dinosaurs. It's up to Homer and the rest of the family to rescue the senior citizens and shut down the theme park before anyone else gets hurt.
As with all Treehouse of Horror episodes, expect plenty of pop culture references, macabre humor, and twisted takes on classic horror stories. Fans of The Simpsons and Halloween specials won't want to miss this episode.
