In the season 25 episode 17 of The Simpsons, titled Luca$, the Simpson family finds themselves facing financial struggles once again. When Homer's car breaks down, he heads to a payday loan office to get the money to fix it, but ends up in too deep when he's unable to pay back the loan and gets caught in a cycle of debt.
Meanwhile, Lisa discovers that her new friend, a boy named Lucas from Italy, is actually a millionaire. As they get to know each other better, Lisa learns that his wealth has caused him to be lonely and isolated from other kids his age. Determined to help Lucas experience the joys of a normal childhood, Lisa invites him to join the Simpson family on a trip to the carnival.
As they enjoy the rides and games, Lucas experiences the kind of simple pleasures that money can't buy. But when Homer's debt catches up with him and he's forced to auction off the family's possessions, including Lisa's saxophone, things take a turn for the worse. Lisa and Lucas must band together with the rest of the family to come up with a plan to save their beloved possessions and their home.
Through it all, Luca$ examines the impact of wealth and poverty on different aspects of life, including friendship, family dynamics, and the pursuit of happiness. With its signature blend of humor, heart, and social commentary, this episode is a must-watch for Simpsons fans of all ages.
