Ep 1. Moonshine River

Bart has a crush on Mary Spuckler, Cletus' daughter, and sneaks away from home to meet up with her in New York City. However, once he arrives in the city that never sleeps, he quickly realizes that Mary has moved on and is now dating a new boy. Meanwhile, Homer and Marge take a road trip to reconnect and reminisce about their past. Along the way, they run into a cast of familiar characters and have some wild adventures. Back in Springfield, Lisa and Grampa bond over a lost town in Appalachia that has been forgotten by modern society. As they uncover the town's history and try to bring attention to its plight, they find unexpected allies and obstacles in their journey. In the end, each storyline comes full circle and the Simpsons are reminded of the importance of family and always having each other's backs.
