In The Simpsons season 21 episode 2, entitled "Bart Gets A 'Z'," things aren't looking so good for our favorite mischievous troublemaker. Bart Simpson is failing history class, and his usually fun-loving antics aren't enough to impress new teacher, Mrs. Krabappel.
As punishment for continually disrupting class, Mrs. Krabappel assigns Bart an extra credit project on the history of Springfield. It's a daunting task for anyone, let alone someone like Bart who struggles to stay focused and on task.
Despite his best efforts, Bart falls asleep while trying to research the history of Springfield. He wakes up to find he's missed his deadline and receives a big fat "Z" on his assignment. Disappointed and ashamed, Bart worries about how his parents and family will react to his failing grade.
In true Simpson fashion, the family rallies around Bart to try and help him pass history class. Homer, Marge, and Lisa each take turns trying to tutor Bart, but it seems their efforts are all in vain.
Meanwhile, at school, Bart's friends hold a mock trail to determine who is to blame for Bart's failing grade. The mock trail is both hilarious and heartwarming, ultimately resulting in Bart's friends coming to his aid.
Despite all their best efforts, Bart struggles to pass his history class. But just when things seem hopeless, a surprise twist gives Bart the opportunity to redeem himself and prove to everyone that he's better than a simple "Z."
Overall, "Bart Gets A 'Z'" is a classic episode of The Simpsons, showcasing the hilarity and heart that has made the show a beloved household staple for over three decades. It's a must-watch for fans both old and new alike.
