In The Simpsons season 14 episode 20 titled "Brake My Wife, Please," Homer is distracted by his love for his new toy, a remote control helicopter. After crashing it into the TV, Marge decides to take matters into her own hands and enroll both herself and Homer in a marriage counseling retreat.
At the retreat, the couple discovers that they have different ideas of what makes a successful marriage. While Marge wants to focus on communication and understanding, Homer is more interested in winning the marriage Olympics, which consists of various challenges designed to strengthen relationships.
The two engage in a series of ridiculous and hilarious challenges, including a trust fall and a spoon race. However, when they are asked to participate in the ultimate challenge of driving a two-person bicycle down a steep hill, disaster strikes. The brakes fail and the couple is sent careening out of control, leaving them with a fractured relationship and physical injuries.
Back in Springfield, Marge seeks solace in the arms of Ned Flanders, who offers her comfort and support. Homer, on the other hand, turns to the company of his new helicopter, which he has now replaced with an even bigger and more expensive model.
As Marge and Ned's relationship begins to flourish, Homer becomes increasingly jealous and sets out to sabotage their happiness. Meanwhile, Moe offers to help Homer fix his broken marriage by taking him on a "date" to a strip club.
In the end, both Marge and Homer come to realize the importance of compromise and working together to make a marriage succeed. The couple are reconciled and vow to never let their differences get in the way of their relationship again.
