On the Day of the Jackanapes, Bart attends Krusty the Clown's 29th anniversary special, only to be publicly humiliated by Krusty. Upon realizing that Krusty has become a bitter and cruel man, Bart embarks on a mission to bring the old, kind Krusty back. Meanwhile, Sideshow Bob, Krusty's former sidekick-turned-nemesis, has been released from prison and is seeking revenge on Krusty. With Bart's help, Krusty must confront his past and overcome Sideshow Bob's latest scheme to finally find redemption.
