Ep 5. E-I-E-I-(Annoyed Grunt)

After a busy day at school, Bart returns home with a cow he swindled from a vengeful Kent Brockman. Meanwhile, Lisa decides to start a pet rescue league to try and save the dogs of Springfield from Mayor Quimby's appalling animal shelter. The opposition they face is severe, with the Pet Rescue receiving no support from their schoolly, or those on the street, and come in contact with many pitfalls as they seek to rescue these poor animals. Elsewhere, Homer finds himself reflecting on the meaning of his work after he is fired from his job at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant due to his poor work attitude. The episode plays out over several hilarious subplots that come together in a cohesive and exciting finale.
