In The Simpsons season 11 episode 4, viewers are treated to the annual Treehouse of Horror episode, a Halloween special featuring three spooky tales with a humorous twist. In "I Know What You Diddly-Iddly-Did," Ned Flanders accidentally runs over Homer Simpson while driving drunk, and together with his family, they cover up the accident. But when a mysterious figure starts threatening them, they begin to suspect that someone knows their secret.
In the second segment, "Desperately Xeeking Xena," Bart and Lisa Simpson are granted superpowers after purchasing a comic book from a local store. Inspired by their favorite TV show, Xena: Warrior Princess, they set out to become superheroes and fight crime. But when they encounter and accidentally anger Lucy Lawless herself while filming in Springfield, they soon realize that the life of a hero may not be all it seems.
The final segment, "Life's a Glitch, Then You Die," features Homer, who, after experiencing a technological mishap at work, finds himself trapped in a 3D virtual reality world. With the help of fellow employee Doug, Homer tries to find a way out of the computer-generated landscape before it's too late.
Throughout the episode, there are plenty of references and parodies of popular horror movies and TV shows, as well as a few celebrity cameos. As always, The Simpsons' unique blend of humor and satire make for a fun and entertaining Halloween-themed watch.
